50 Ornaments for 50 Governors: Going for the Record

The Children's Inn at NIH and Rotary International attempted a Guinness Book world record over the holiday season of 2004. Young patients at The Children's Inn joined Rotarians and artists from The Gary Rosenthal Collection to make one-of-a-kind fused glass Christmas tree ornaments. Fifty ornaments were sent to fifty governors in hopes of getting one ornament on every state's gubernatorial Christmas tree, raising awareness for The Children's Inn and Art as a Catalyst.

A highlight of the program was a trip to the Maryland Governor's Mansion, attended by Gary Rosenthal, kids and staff from The Children's Inn at NIH, and members of the Kensington Rotary.
